I don’t think it’s a bad idea for faculty or anyone to use tools that save them time. I do have an issue with using technology to make decisions to create responses for me. We can use AI but we should always, and teach our students to always evaluate the response before sending anything out. The conversations with administration have been going on for decades. They are never going reduce class size, work loads, or give us the resources needed to adequately to do the job. In the United States they never have! When we talk about bias in AI we seem to forget the source of that bias. The source of that bias is US! We pretend like we don’t have bias. When was the last time you thought about breadfruit or black hake? If you haven’t then you are bias to the culinary experiences of millions across the planet. We should teach our students to look for and recognize bias both in research and in themselves. AI has many solutions and the ability to iterate things more quickly than ever before we should use it to its strengths even if that is saving us time.

Thanks Marcus, this podcast added value to my journey in AI-land. At the end of your podcast, Marc mentions a person who he admires but I didn't get her name.
